{"id":437,"date":"2016-03-15T19:02:38","date_gmt":"2016-03-15T19:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eou.edu\/csi\/?page_id=437"},"modified":"2026-07-09T13:32:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T20:32:56","slug":"hoke-advisory-board","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/intranet.eou.edu\/student-involvement\/hoke-advisory-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Hoke Advisory Board (HAB)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The role of the Hoke Advisory Board is to provide advice in the establishment of policies, long and short-term goals, and issues of how to most effectively utilize the available resources including space allocations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hoke Student Union Building serves as a central hub on Eastern Oregon University&#8217;s campus, providing a space for students to come together,&nbsp; socialize, participate in diverse activities and engage with their community to increase campus life. Active programming in the Hoke Student Union Building will provide students a break from their academic routine, increase access to affinity groups and enhance opportunities to develop leadership skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of the Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The HAB shall consider, review, and recommend policies impacting Student Union&nbsp;programming and Student Union facility usage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The HAB shall consider requests for, develop usage polices of,&nbsp;and assign office space to student organizations that been designated for student&nbsp;organization use by the Student Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Board Members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Committee consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 At Large Student Representatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ASEOU Director of Financial Affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ASEOU Senator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residence Hall Student Representative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Director of Student Involvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forms\/Files<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/TUQS9hNdfrnuK21Z8\">Hoke Space Allocation Application<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This form begins the process of requesting space within the Hoke Student Union. Office space for recognized student groups is being provided so that the officers and members of a group will have a place to transact business, welcome students, and offering programming.
